Quality Assurance Engineer (Hybrid | AI-Driven Technology)

Location: Carlow (Hybrid)
Contract: Fixed-Term (9 Months)

A leading global technology company in the proactive security sector is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its R&D team on a 9-month fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover).

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative, real-world software solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment, contributing to weekly releases used by international teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing on new and existing features

• Support test automation across unit, integration, system, and regression testing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria

• Contribute to continuous integration and quality improvement processes

• Create and maintain test data

• Track progress and ensure sprint deliverables meet quality standards

• Support effective team collaboration and timely delivery

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

• 2+ years’ experience in a QA or similar role

• Understanding of programming fundamentals

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright

• Strong communication skills

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP)

Desirable

• Experience in a Scrum Master capacity

• API testing and/or backend data validation experience
